Familiemediation

Disputes or conflicts occur in the best of families. Consider, for example, relationship problems, arguments in the family business, strained relationships between parents and children or even arguments about an inheritance. Conflicts within families are often complicated, have a long history and emotions run high. Often several family members are (in)directly involved. Conflicts within families can be very harmful and which why tackling them and working towards a solution is important. Having the guidance of an experienced mediator can help restore the relationship

Situations in which mediation is an excellent tool to reach a solution

conflict in the family business

disagreement on an inheritance

conflicts in blended families

dispute on the care for a family member

strained relationship with in-laws

In family mediation we delve into the underlying causes of the conflict. Often there are issues at play that are not discernible  on the surface, still they have a big impact.

In mediation anything and everything can be discussed. Becasue all parties have agreed to confidentiality, everyone can speak freely.

Mediation, Not therapy!

Family mediation is not the same as (family) therapy. Although we pay ample attention to the emotions and any deeper causes at play, the basic principle of mediation is that we work together to restore trust and find a solution to the conflict or dispute. A durable solution that all parties confidently agree to.
